To maximise being listed you need to have your website content and code Optimised. Once your website has been created you want people to be able to find it.

Search Engines including Google, Yahoo and Bing are the three largest and most used.
They can enter you domain name e.g. mydomain.co.nz if they know it or they will search for either yourself or what you offer in the form of products or services via Search Engines.

  13. How Long After I Submit My Website To The Search Engines Will It Show In The Search Engine Listings?
(events will vary depending upon several factors.)
    Submit Website
We will submit your website to the main Search Engines namely Google, Yahoo, MSN (Bing) manually.
    Week 1
Search Engines will have sent a spider to crawl your domain and website. You can verify if the search engine has visited your website by checking your website awstats in your Cpanel interface, or by typing your domain name into the search engine. If the search engine did not visit your website check back in another week it should have visited by then. In some instances we have seen clients websites indexed within only day
    Week 2 – 7
The Search Engine’s will have determined there is website content attached to the domain name submitted and the search engine will begin to index your web pages. It will visit each page and index the contents it can read (hence the importance of optimising your website) of your website into the search engine database. Your website pages will be indexed over this time.
This is where you should begin to watch your search engine placement in Search Engine results. Your position will change up and down during this time period, it’s a normal process for the search engines as it is building a full picture of your website and as people start viewing it.
    Week 8 plus
Your search engine listings will begin to stabilise from week 8 onwards, and you can continue to further optimise and add new content to get the results you want.
How far you want to go is up to you and your budget.

We do not promise that you will ranked number 1 with Google or any other search engine purely because we can’t nor can anyone else so don’t be fooled by false advertising.

It is Search Engine companies themselves will determine who is ranked where and the only way to ensure you are amongst the top listings consistently is to pay them…commonly known as ‘Sponsored Links’ or ‘Pay-per-click’

This Marketing aspect is just like what you would have to do when advertising with Newspapers, Radio and Television.

We can, however, using strict guidelines optimise your website and its content so that search engines can read all of it and place it appropriately in is listing results.

Ultimately, Search Engines are only as good as the results they provide, so your content needs to be relevant to what people are searching for.
